Right now, my studio is too full of finished pieces, pieces waiting for a wood firing scheduled for 4/6 & 4/7, pieces pending a Firing Workshop in June, and several more pieces waiting to get into a raku firing. This makes me feel like I shouldn't be creating anything more until things are completed. But, I have ideas that I want to explore... What to do? Staying motivated is not always easy, but keeping an idea journal can help. When I get an idea, but not the time or space, I make a drawing in my idea journal along with possible dimensions & glazing. This way, when space opens up for more work, I can look at my ideas & get back to work with a fresh perspective.
